Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have found that watching adults struggle with a couple of tasks before succeeding led to babies trying harder on their own tasks. Adults often want to make what they do seem effortless, but it may be particularly important for us to model what we do when we encounter something challenging. This research supports the concept of modeling a growth mindset and for children from as young as 15 months.
